Roast is a small-batch roastery driven by Brian Babcock and Russell
Chisholm. We roast in very small batches at The Easy Chair Coffee Shop
in Blacksburg, VA. We make regular visits to coffee origin countries
and have developed direct relationships with our growers and importers.
Most of our coffees are directly purchased from small farms with an
emphasis on sustainability and excellent quality.
The
retail shop and roastery can be found at 801 University City Blvd in
Blacksburg. From Route 460, exit onto Prices Fork Road toward
Blacksburg, turn left onto University City Blvd. We are directly next
to the entrance of University Mall adjacent to CVS Pharmacy and we have
plenty of parking.

The
Farms Fields Project at Owens Food Court is the signature local,
organic, and sustainable venue for Virginia Tech Dining Services.
Customers will find a seasonal menu using produce, meat, and dairy from
the Dining Services Garden at Kentland Farm and other local producers.
The venue is also an educational opportunity for students to learn more
about sustainability and where their food comes from. Open
10:00a.m.-8:00p.m. Monday through Friday during the academic year.

Food Court is located off of Kent Street on the Virginia Tech Campus
(near the on-campus bookstore and library) in downtown Blacksburg.
Visitor parking passes can be obtained through VT Parking Services, and

Pine Provisions sells a number of locally produced food items. Of
course you can always get their Big Pine trout, which by all accounts
is one of the tastiest locally prouced food you'll find. They also have
nice variety of pork, beef and bison in their freezer as well seasonal
vegetables, canned goods, cheeses and fresh eggs. They serve a classy and tasteful
